Revolution Radio in Northampton held its first networking event on Tuesday 30 November which coincided with inviting local businesses to have a look around and meet the presenters, technicians and directors – and to find out more about the station.

The launch scenario was prepared and managed by technical wizard Jake Oliver and Local Music guru Tommy Gardner with some spectacular lighting by MOSounds.

Managing Director Chris Gregg outlined the history of the station, introduced Technical Director Ian Hickling and then invited Cllr Jonathan Nunn, Leader of West Northants Council, to perform the opening by cutting the golden ribbon and welcoming Revolution Radio to its bright town-centre location.

Visitors were able to experience all the functions of a modern high-tech radio station such as studio-based and remote interviews, voice-tracking, news production and live music.
