Number of Community Radio Stations on air

As also posted to public forums, because some of us were wondering exactly how many CR stations are on air, I did some laborious spreadsheet comparisons between two separate Ofcom databases and my own.
The (pretty firm) conclusion is:
Licences issued = 384
Yet to launch = 43
No record = 20
Closed = 39
On air = 282
FM/AM = 274/8

Happy to share the details with anyone who wants them.,

It’s a complex spreadsheet.

With Ofcom’s last Bulletin there are two more CR closures and the figure on air is now 282
