Ofcom will be hosting a broadcasting compliance workshop in Scotland this September, part of a series we aim to host across the nations and regions of the UK. This will be a general workshop where Ofcom staff will provide an overview of licensees’ obligations under the terms of their Ofcom licence, including compliance with all areas of the Broadcasting Code, and will try to answer any questions you might have.
The workshop will take place at Ofcom’s Edinburgh office on 20 September 2018 from 13:00 to 16:00.
125 Princes Street (4th Floor)
(Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided).
Licensees in Scotland are being invited to attend the event.
NOTE TO COMMUNITY RADIO LICENSEES: We are aware that community radio licensees have a specific set of challenges to face which are unique to the community radio sector. Therefore, we have allocated an additional hour at the end of the workshop (from 16:00 to 17:00) which will be dedicated to answering any specific questions you might have.
If you would like to attend the workshop, please can you reply to me (email@example.com) by 12 September 2018 stating the name of the individual who will be attending from your organisation?
(Subject to space, it may be possible for two representatives to attend from each organisation. If you would like a second individual to attend on behalf of your organisation, please provide the name of that individual and we will confirm in due course whether they can attend, once final numbers are known).
We are also looking into the possibility of providing facilities for people unable travel in to Edinburgh to be able to view the workshop via skype broadcast and pose questions externally. If this facility is something you would be interested in making use of please notify me (firstname.lastname@example.org).
