Civil Society Futures - Findings So Far

Civil Society Futures has published an interim report into their ongoing work about change in civil society.

Emerging from what we’ve heard, the big role for civil society in the coming years is to generate a radical and creative shift which puts power in the hands of people and communities - preventing an ‘us and them’ future, connecting us better and humanising the way we do things. We are talking about people as citizens, individually, and in families, in groups of shared identity, experience or interest, and as whole communities. Helping people to discover their full potential, hearing their voices, trusting them, their strength and skills, the value they can add. Recognising the abundance of skills and capabilities around us, seeing not just the problems but the great strengths in communities.

Their website also has some resources and toolkits about how to undertake community consuiltation and participation-based research.
