Apply for funding from Vodafone Techstarter

All charities, NGOs, CICs, social businesses and for-profit start-ups could be eligible for a social innovation prize fund of £35,000.

Social Tech Trust has teamed up with Vodafone and the Vodafone Foundation to create ‘Vodafone Techstarter’ - a new Social Innovation Award.

With a total prize fund of £300,000, the award aims to scale new UK social tech innovations that help people, drive prosperity and well-being for communities and protect our environment.

There are just two weeks until applications for Vodafone Techstarter close. Apply by midday on Tuesday 23rd October.

Vodafone Techstarter is looking to back eight transformative social tech start-ups, with a combination of funding and a bespoke programme of support.

There will be ten grants awarded across three categories:

Category 1 - Not-for-profit awards, only open to charities, NGOs and community interest companies (CICs). Four winners will receive a £35,000 prize in cash each and a full 12-month programme of support and value-in-kind.

Category 2 - For-profit awards, only open to social businesses, enterprises and for-profit start-ups. Four winners will receive a £35,000 prize in cash each and a full 12-month programme of support and value-in-kind.

Category 3 - Vodafone Champions Award will be chosen by popular vote amongst Vodafone employees across the UK. Two winners, one from each of the two categories above, will receive an award of £10,000 in cash.
